Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2015

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Ontario Securities Commission was Chair and Chief Executive Officer / Président et chef de la direction Howard Wetston, who brought home $703,628.91 in 2014.

Following Howard Wetston was Commissioner / Commissaire Mary Condon, with annual earnings of $494,229.89. Vice Chair / Vice-président James Turner made $470,802.33, Executive Director and Chief Administrative Officer / Directrice générale et chef des services administratifs Maureen Jensen made $460,861.63, and Vice Chair / Vice-présidente Monica Kowal round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $361,499.47 for the Ontario Securities Commission 2015 Sunshine List.
