Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2015

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the University of Toronto was President and Chief Executive Officer, University of Toronto Asset Management Corporation William Moriarty, who brought home $937,500.00 in 2014.

Following William Moriarty was Managing Director, Investment Strategy and Co-Chief Investment Officer Cameron Richards, with annual earnings of $495,009.96. Professor of Economics Varouj Aivazian made $474,185.50, Associate Dean, Masters of Business Administration Program and Professor of Business Economics and Integrative Thinking Mihnea (Michael) Moldoveanu made $446,273.92, and Professor of Organizational Behavior Glen Whyte round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $443,723.06 for the University of Toronto 2015 Sunshine List.
