Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2019

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Energy was Deputy Minister Stephen Rhodes, who brought home $288,321.07 in 2018.

Following Stephen Rhodes was Assistant Deputy Minister, Strategic, Network and Agency Policy Carolyn Calwell, with annual earnings of $210,333.96. Assistant Deputy Minister, Conservation and Renewable Energy Kaili Sermat-Harding made $207,676.40, Assistant Deputy Minister, Energy Supply Policy Steen Hume made $178,045.02, and Chief of Staff Annina Chiarelli round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $171,187.19 for the Energy 2019 Sunshine List.
