Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2019

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following Elizabeth Richardson was Chief of Police Eric Girt, with annual earnings of $255,155.53. Constable Arthur Sterling made $252,574.04, Associate Medical Officer of Health Ninh Tran made $228,617.03, and Deputy Chief Daniel Kinsella round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $228,496.16 for the City of Hamilton 2019 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2018, 580 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 994 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 170 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 14 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 3 received between $250,001 and $300,000 at the City of Hamilton.
