Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2004

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following GREG GEORGEFF was Deputy Minister KATHRYN BOUEY, with annual earnings of $223,533.60. Corporate Chief Strategist JOAN MCCALLA made $192,764.11, Corporate Chief Service Delivery BLAIR K. SMITH made $173,654.19, and Chief Executive Officer, SSB SHARON COHEN round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $157,068.02 for the Management Board Secretariat 2004 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2003, 38 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 49 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 8 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 1 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 1 received between $250,001 and $300,000 at the Management Board Secretariat.
