Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2022

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following Kevin Smith was Surgeon-In-Chief Shaf Keshavjee, with annual earnings of $538,173.40. Executive Vice President Rebecca Repa made $498,902.09, Executive Vice President Brian D. Hodges made $497,635.29, and Vice President A.Keith Stewart round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $460,931.20 for the University Health Network 2022 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2021, 863 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 833 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 99 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 33 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 10 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 62 received over $300,000 at the University Health Network.
