Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2018

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Every year, the Ontario government publishes its annual Sunshine List of public sector servants with six-figure salaries. According to the document, Metrolinx's 620 staffers made the Sunshine List, earning total compensation of $77,276,504.27 in 2017.

Topping the list for the Metrolinx was President and Chief Executive Officer/Président et chef de la direction Bruce Mccuaig, who brought home $486,035.42 in 2017.

Following Bruce Mccuaig was President and Chief Executive Officer/Président et chef de la direction John Jensen, with annual earnings of $392,933.71. Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary/Vice présidente, chef du contentieux et secrétaire générale Mary Martin made $273,657.52, Chief Operating Officer/Chef de l’exploitation Gregory Percy made $269,145.11, and Executive Vice President Presto/Premier vice président Presto Robert Hollis round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $257,281.61 for the Metrolinx 2018 Sunshine List.
