Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2007

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following PETER GEORGE was Dean & Vice President Health Sciences. JOHN KELTON, with annual earnings of $359,100.52. Physician BARBARA RUSSELL made $271,701.27, Chair & Professor STEPHEN MICHAEL COLLINS made $257,527.05, and Physician JOHN CHARLES MUSTARD round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $245,995.32 for the McMaster University 2007 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2006, 176 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 374 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 53 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 18 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 2 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 2 received over $300,000 at the McMaster University.
