Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2007

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following JAMES F HANKINSON was Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer PIERRE R CHARLEBOIS, with annual earnings of $1,015,540.32. Executive Vice President, Corporate Secretary RICHARD DICERNI made $923,499.96, Senior Vice President, Nuclear Programs & Training WILLIAM ROBINSON made $901,634.48, and Senior Vice President, Nuclear Generation Development & Services GREGORY SMITH round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $897,316.96 for the Ontario Power Generation 2007 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2006, 1,620 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 3,024 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 705 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 108 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 33 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 28 received over $300,000 at the Ontario Power Generation.
