Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2007

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Superintendent WAYNE KALINSKI made $196,542.75, Superintendent CHRISTOPHER BARRATT made $193,461.48, and Chief of Police ARMAND LABARGE round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $187,268.55 for the York Regional Police 2007 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2006, 38 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 26 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 10 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 2 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the York Regional Police.
