Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2009

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following TONY DEAN was Secretary of the Cabinet SHELLY JAMIESON, with annual earnings of $327,953.99. Deputy Minister MATTHEW MENDELSOHN made $239,612.50, Deputy Minister GILES GHERSON made $224,883.29, and Deputy Minister LYNN BETZNER round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $191,811.94 for the Cabinet Office 2009 Sunshine List.
