Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2009

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Ontario Human Rights Commission was Executive Director NANCY AUSTIN, who brought home $211,469.63 in 2008.

Following NANCY AUSTIN was Director, Legal Services HART SCHWARTZ, with annual earnings of $202,836.43. Counsel ANTHONY GRIFFIN made $186,030.25, Counsel CATHY PIKE made $181,633.94, and Counsel SHARON FFOLKES ABRAHAMS round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $179,048.17 for the Ontario Human Rights Commission 2009 Sunshine List.
