Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2011

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Cancer Care Ontario was President & Chief Executive Officer TERRY SULLIVAN, who brought home $520,678.07 in 2010.

Following TERRY SULLIVAN was Vice President, Clinical Programs CAROL SAWKA, with annual earnings of $476,517.05. Vice President, Chief Information Officer RICHARD SKINNER made $410,963.00, Director, Health Services Research CRAIG EARLE made $405,995.20, and Vice President, Planning and Regional Programs MICHAEL SHERAR round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $392,916.50 for the Cancer Care Ontario 2011 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2010, 19 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 49 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 13 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 5 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 1 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 7 received over $300,000 at the Cancer Care Ontario.
