Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2013

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Cancer Care Ontario was Vice President, Prevention & Cancer Control LINDA RABENECK, who brought home $521,827.50 in 2012.

Following LINDA RABENECK was President and Chief Executive Officer MICHAEL SHERAR, with annual earnings of $489,594.55. Vice President, Clinical Programs & Quality Initiatives CAROL SAWKA made $472,414.82, Vice President, Chief Information Officer RICHARD SKINNER made $459,059.63, and Medical Advisor CRAIG EARLE round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $438,995.20 for the Cancer Care Ontario 2013 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2012, 42 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 68 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 13 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 2 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 1 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 5 received over $300,000 at the Cancer Care Ontario.
