Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2013

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the University Health Network was President and Chief Executive Officer ROBERT S. BELL, who brought home $753,992.40 in 2012.

Following ROBERT S. BELL was Vice President MARK ROCHON, with annual earnings of $616,946.25. Surgeon–In–Chief SHAF KESHAVJEE made $514,393.40, Director, Radiation Medicine MARIA GOSPODAROWICZ made $456,164.80, and Vice President CHRISTOPHER J. PAIGE round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $451,785.80 for the University Health Network 2013 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2012, 233 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 216 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 48 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 14 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 11 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 60 received over $300,000 at the University Health Network.
