Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2014

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Attorney General was Assistant Crown Attorney JOHN RAFTERY, who brought home $368,439.53 in 2013.

Following JOHN RAFTERY was Deputy Attorney General PATRICK MONAHAN, with annual earnings of $294,588.32. Commissioner PAUL BELANGER made $287,474.24, Crown Attorney BRIAN CROCKETT made $219,725.42, and Executive Legal Officer ROSLYN LEVINE round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $218,835.51 for the Attorney General 2014 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2013, 142 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 451 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 1,039 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 69 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 2 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 1 received over $300,000 at the Attorney General .
