Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2015

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the City of Greater Sudbury was Chief Administrative Officer Doug Nadorozny, who brought home $223,374.76 in 2014.

Following Doug Nadorozny was General Manager, Community Development Catherine Matheson, with annual earnings of $197,449.84. Deputy Chief Allan Lekun made $193,487.28, Chief Administrative Officer of Police Services Sharon Baiden made $190,492.64, and General Manager, Infrastructure Services Anthony Cecutti round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $179,162.97 for the City of Greater Sudbury 2015 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2014, 152 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 133 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 11 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 1 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the City of Greater Sudbury.
