Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2015

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Nipissing University was President and Vice-Chancellor Michael De Gagne, who brought home $287,215.32 in 2014.

Following Michael De Gagne was Associate Vice-President, Academic Sharon Rich, with annual earnings of $247,074.96. Vice-President, Finance and Administration Richard Onley made $232,788.62, Provost and Vice President, Academic and Research Harley D'Entremont made $215,833.30, and Director, School Of Physical And Health Education and Professor Jim Mcauliffe round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $203,040.46 for the Nipissing University 2015 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2014, 56 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 69 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 15 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 4 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 1 received between $250,001 and $300,000 at the Nipissing University.
