Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2016

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the City of Windsor was Police Chief Albert Taylor Frederick, who brought home $271,455.40 in 2015.

Following Albert Taylor Frederick was Chief Administrative Officer Helga Reidel, with annual earnings of $267,676.98. Deputy Police Chief Vincent Power made $214,371.45, Deputy Police Chief Richard Derus made $214,228.27, and Chief Financial Officer / City Treasurer Onorio Colucci round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $196,056.44 for the City of Windsor 2016 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2015, 325 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 294 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 20 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 2 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 2 received between $250,001 and $300,000 at the City of Windsor.
