Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2017

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs was Deputy Minister Deborah Stark, who brought home $239,225.88 in 2016.

Following Deborah Stark was Deputy Minister Debra Sikora, with annual earnings of $196,288.20. Assistant Deputy Minister, Research and Corporate Services Christine Primeau made $179,636.18, Assistant Deputy Minister, Policy Philip Malcolmson made $167,866.77, and Tribunal Coordinator Gloria Marco Borys round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $165,539.82 for the Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs 2017 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2016, 135 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 53 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 5 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 1 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
