Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2017

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the City of Windsor was Chief Administrative Officer Onorio Colucci, who brought home $235,161.52 in 2016.

Following Onorio Colucci was City Clerk / Licence Commissioner Valerie Critchley, with annual earnings of $204,252.89. Commissioner Development and Health Jelena Payne made $199,433.11, City Solicitor Shelby Askin Hager made $172,258.94, and City Engineer Mark Winterton round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $170,932.97 for the City of Windsor 2017 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2016, 108 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 131 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 5 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 2 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the City of Windsor.
