Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2018

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Chief of Police (A) Sylvie Hauth made $221,530.87, Deputy Chief of Police (A) Donald Lewis made $185,287.84, and Fire Chief John Hay round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $184,450.30 for the City of Thunder Bay 2018 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2017, 190 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 220 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 15 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 3 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the City of Thunder Bay.
