Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2018

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the International Union of Operating Engineers was Executive Director Harold Mcbride, who brought home $138,767.44 in 2017.

Following Harold Mcbride was Instructor Joao Paolo Gregorio, with annual earnings of $130,378.66. Instructor Claudio Montesano made $127,172.81, Assistant Director of Apprenticeship and Training Brian Alexander made $119,466.06, and Indigenous Coordinator Brian Pelletier round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $114,943.72 for the International Union of Operating Engineers 2018 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2017, 13 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 11 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 at the International Union of Operating Engineers.
