Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2019

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the University of Guelph was President and Vice-Chancellor Franco Vaccarino, who brought home $423,648.06 in 2018.

Following Franco Vaccarino was Past Provost and Vice-President, Academic Maureen Mancuso, with annual earnings of $318,956.12. Provost and Vice-President, Academic Charlotte Yates made $299,024.52, Professor and Industrial Research Chair Beth Parker made $282,448.87, and Professor, Director and Canada Research Chair Paul Hebert round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $281,268.45 for the University of Guelph 2019 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2018, 136 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 366 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 391 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 59 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 7 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 2 received over $300,000 at the University of Guelph.
