Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2020

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Senior Manager, Operations Gino Marandola made $171,801.20, Director, Pension Plans John Avgeris made $168,315.64, and Director, Licensing Branch Heather-Anne Driver round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $147,059.32 for the Financial Services Commission 2020 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2019, 7 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 14 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 2 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 2 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the Financial Services Commission.
