Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2023

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Eastern Ontario Health Unit was Medical Officer of Health and Chief Executive Officer Paul Roumeliotis, who brought home $415,720.66 in 2022.

Following Paul Roumeliotis was Director Patricia Gauley, with annual earnings of $159,834.21. Director Therese Bourgeois made $156,572.88, Director Linda Cleroux made $148,963.71, and Manager Program Rami Basha round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $125,206.52 for the Eastern Ontario Health Unit 2023 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2022, 11 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 16 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 2 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 1 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the Eastern Ontario Health Unit.
