Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2024

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following Yung Wu was Chief Delivery Officer Krista Jones, with annual earnings of $345,591.68. Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer Nicole Barry made $326,000.08, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Business Development and Growth Mark Hyland made $303,079.66, and Vice President, Advisory and Insights Susan Mclean round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $272,073.34 for the MaRS Discovery District 2024 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2023, 10 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 38 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 13 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 8 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 4 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 4 received over $300,000 at the MaRS Discovery District.
