Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2025

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following Asima Vezina was Acting Dean, Faculty of Computer Science Shaochun Xu, with annual earnings of $277,272.46. Associate Professor, Faculty of Business and Economics Cathy Denomme made $265,201.04, Professor, Faculty of Business and Economics Jo-Anne Ryan made $251,382.10, and Associate Professor, Faculty of Business and Economics Pelham Matthews round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $239,467.80 for the Algoma University 2025 Sunshine List.
