Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2009

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Attorney General was Deputy Attorney General MURRAY SEGAL, who brought home $272,887.25 in 2008.

Following MURRAY SEGAL was Crown Counsel MARY DICKIE, with annual earnings of $230,069.41. Counsel JOHN TWOHIG made $229,087.92, Assistant Crown Attorney PAUL MCDERMOTT made $228,166.34, and Assistant Deputy Attorney General, Policy Family Justice Services Division MARK LEACH round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $217,187.02 for the Attorney General 2009 Sunshine List.
