Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2009

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the CNIB was President/Chief Executive Officer JAMES SANDERS, who brought home $198,100.46 in 2008.

Following JAMES SANDERS was Vice President, Finance/Chief CRAIG LILLICO, with annual earnings of $180,401.56. Vice President, Services & Operations WENDY GIBBS made $171,825.08, Vice President, Services & Operations DENNIS TOTTENHAM made $169,957.44, and Vice President, Information MARGARET MCGRORY round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $158,673.52 for the CNIB 2009 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2008, 6 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 4 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 7 received between $150,001 and $200,000 at the CNIB.
