The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Assistant Deputy Minister, Elementary/Secondary Business & Finance Division NANCY NAYLOR made $182,439.12, Assistant Deputy Minister, Corporate Management & Services Division DAVID FULFORD made $180,274.40, and Assistant Deputy Minister, Instruction & Leadership Development Division BARRY PERVIN round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $157,695.87 for the Education 2009 Sunshine List.
