Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2009

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Government Services was Deputy Minister MICHELLE DIEMANUELE, who brought home $360,009.89 in 2008.

Following MICHELLE DIEMANUELE was Deputy Minister RONALD MCKERLIE, with annual earnings of $343,768.64. Deputy Minister/Chief Executive Officer, ServiceOntario WILLIAM STARK made $252,971.32, Corp. Chief Info. & Info. Technology Officer, Chief Strategist Service Delivery DAVID NICHOLL made $250,646.35, and Associate Deputy Minister, Ontario Shared Services DAVID HALLETT round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $229,179.06 for the Government Services 2009 Sunshine List.
