Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2010

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

2010 Ontario Sunshine List: Revenue Top Earners

Every year, the Ontario government publishes its annual Sunshine List of public sector servants with six-figure salaries. According to the document, Revenue's 69 staffers made the Sunshine List, earning total compensation of $8,066,493.47 in 2009.

At the top of the Revenue Sunshine List

Topping the list for the Revenue was Deputy Minister CAROL LAYTON, who brought home $238,529.41 in 2009.

Following CAROL LAYTON was Assistant Deputy Minister, Sales Tax Reform ROBERT LARAMY, with annual earnings of $177,868.85. Assistant Deputy Minister, Service Standards & Commitments PETER RZADKI made $176,270.35, Assistant Deputy Minister, Tax Administration Policy & Partnerships Division TERRY HEWAK made $158,751.74, and Assistant Deputy Minister, Operations MARK GRIMSDITCH round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $146,579.90 for the Revenue 2010 Sunshine List.
