Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2011

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Economic Development & Trade was Assistant Deputy Minister, Economic Development Division ROBERT SEGUIN, who brought home $211,707.55 in 2010.

Following ROBERT SEGUIN was Deputy Minister WENDY TILFORD, with annual earnings of $185,420.93. Assistant Deputy Minister, Economic Development Division MAHMOOD NANJI made $172,196.42, Assistant Deputy Minister, Corporate Services Division DAVID CLIFFORD made $170,985.53, and Assistant Deputy Minister, Investment Division ANTHONY LA MANTIA round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $169,903.34 for the Economic Development & Trade 2011 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2010, 31 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 56 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 8 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 1 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the Economic Development & Trade.
