Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2011

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Ontario Pension Board was Senior Vice President, Investments ANNE-MARIE THOMAS, who brought home $632,613.68 in 2010.

Following ANNE-MARIE THOMAS was Chief Executive Officer DONALD WEISS, with annual earnings of $530,162.13. President and Chief Executive Officer MARK FULLER made $485,800.96, Senior Vice President, Operations LINDA BOWDEN made $375,753.10, and Senior Vice President, Finance DUNCAN WEBB round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $349,129.47 for the Ontario Pension Board 2011 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2010, 7 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 11 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 6 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 4 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 8 received between $250,001 and $300,000 at the Ontario Pension Board.
