Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2013

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Community & Social Services was Deputy Minister MARGUERITE RAPPOLT, who brought home $245,539.58 in 2012.

Following MARGUERITE RAPPOLT was Chief Information Officer CORBIN KERR, with annual earnings of $201,619.60. Assistant Deputy Minister, Accessibility Directorate ELLEN WAXMAN made $186,442.10, Assistant Deputy Minister, Family Responsibility Office BOHODAR RUBASHEWSKY made $186,270.37, and Assistant Deputy Minister, Social Policy Development DAVID CARTER–WHITNEY round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $180,828.94 for the Community & Social Services 2013 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2012, 113 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 132 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 8 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 2 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the Community & Social Services.
