Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2013

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

2013 Ontario Sunshine List: Metrolinx Top Earners

Every year, the Ontario government publishes its annual Sunshine List of public sector servants with six-figure salaries. According to the document, Metrolinx's 262 staffers made the Sunshine List, earning total compensation of $33,531,394.21 in 2012.

At the top of the Metrolinx Sunshine List

Topping the list for the Metrolinx was President & Chief Executive Officer BRUCE MCCUAIG, who brought home $363,403.19 in 2012.

Following BRUCE MCCUAIG was President, GO Transit GARY MCNEIL, with annual earnings of $275,476.34. Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary MARY MARTIN made $275,046.93, Executive Vice President, Presto Fare Card STEPHEN ZUCKER made $269,649.76, and Director, Financial Services FRANCES CHUNG round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $269,417.89 for the Metrolinx 2013 Sunshine List.
