Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2013

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the University of Ottawa was President ALLAN ROCK, who brought home $394,999.92 in 2012.

Following ALLAN ROCK was Dean JACQUES BRADWEJN, with annual earnings of $385,699.92. Full Professor DALE CORBETT made $332,499.84, Vice–President, External Relations LOUIS DE MELO made $300,000.00, and Vice–President, Research MONA NEMER round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $259,754.91 for the University of Ottawa 2013 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2012, 205 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 602 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 222 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 12 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 3 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 3 received over $300,000 at the University of Ottawa.
