Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2014

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following PATRICK CAYEN was Deputy Fire Chief BRYAN P. VAN GAVER, with annual earnings of $174,892.80. Police Chief JAMES P. NELSON made $159,992.14, Deputy Police Chief ROBERT FARLOW made $155,333.02, and City Solicitor/Clerk BRIAN W. KNOTT round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $147,261.36 for the City of Sarnia 2014 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2013, 55 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 80 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 4 received between $150,001 and $200,000 at the City of Sarnia.
