Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2015

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the City of Vaughan was City Manager Clayton Harris, who brought home $261,485.90 in 2014.

Following Clayton Harris was Interim City Manager Barbara Cribbett, with annual earnings of $249,011.77. Commissioner of Community Services Marlon Kallideen made $211,083.18, Commissioner of Legal and Administrative Services and City Solicitor Marylee Farrugia made $207,098.11, and Commissioner of Public Works Paul Jankowski round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $207,098.11 for the City of Vaughan 2015 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2014, 86 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 118 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 25 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 6 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 1 received between $250,001 and $300,000 at the City of Vaughan.
