Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2016

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Cancer Care Ontario was Vice President/Vice-Présidente Linda Rabeneck, who brought home $512,100.63 in 2015.

Following Linda Rabeneck was Chief Executive Officer & President/Chef De La Direction Et Président Michael Sherar, with annual earnings of $501,834.58. Vice President/Vice-Président Robin Mcleod made $441,499.57, Vice President/Vice-Président Robert Matheson made $308,472.14, and Vice President/Vice-Président Elham Roushani round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $264,451.40 for the Cancer Care Ontario 2016 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2015, 63 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 90 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 14 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 2 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 2 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 4 received over $300,000 at the Cancer Care Ontario.
