Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2016

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Ontario Court of Justice was Judge / Juge Lise Maisonneuve, who brought home $316,890.18 in 2015.

Following Lise Maisonneuve was Judge / Juge John Payne, with annual earnings of $312,865.68. Judge / Juge Faith Finnestad made $312,865.68, Judge / Juge Kathryn Hawke made $305,391.28, and Judge / Juge Martin Lambert round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $305,391.28 for the Ontario Court of Justice 2016 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2015, 10 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 312 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 7 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 6 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 252 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 16 received over $300,000 at the Ontario Court of Justice.
