Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2017

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Assistant Deputy Minister, Local Government and Planning Policy / Sous-ministre adjointe, Division des administrations locales et des politiques d'aménagement Kate Manson-Smith made $168,811.42, Assistant Deputy Minister, Ontario Growth Secretariat / Sous-ministre adjoint, Secrétariat des initiatives de croissance de l'Ontario Larry Clay made $168,811.42, and Assistant Deputy Minister, Business Management Division / Sous-ministre adjoint, Division de la gestion des activités ministérielles James Cassimatis round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $168,811.42 for the Municipal Affairs 2017 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers
