Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2018

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following Janice Baker was Commissioner, Community Services Paul Arthur Mitcham, with annual earnings of $224,452.00. Commissioner, Planning and Building Edward Sajecki made $224,452.00, Commissioner, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer Gary Kent made $220,344.95, and Commissioner, Transportation and Works Geoff Wright round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $214,027.88 for the City of Mississauga 2018 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2017, 521 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 480 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 40 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 6 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 1 received between $250,001 and $300,000 at the City of Mississauga.
