Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2019

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Advanced Education and Skills Development was Deputy Minister George Zegarac, who brought home $320,031.45 in 2018.

Following George Zegarac was Assistant Deputy Minister, Employment and Training David Fulford, with annual earnings of $229,517.00. Assistant Deputy Minister, Employment and Training David Carter-Whitney made $207,676.40, Assistant Deputy Minister Nancy Mudrinic made $207,676.40, and Director, OSAP Transformation Noah Morris round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $178,037.72 for the Advanced Education and Skills Development 2019 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2018, 111 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 65 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 10 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 3 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 1 received between $250,001 and $300,000 at the Advanced Education and Skills Development.
