Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2021

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Legislative Assembly was Clerk, Legislative Assembly / Greffièr de l'Assemblée législative Todd Decker, who brought home $290,391.12 in 2020.

Following Todd Decker was Executive Director, Information and Technology Services and Legislative Librarian / Directrice générale des Services d'information et de technologie et bibliothécaire de l'Assemblée législative Vicki Whitmell, with annual earnings of $220,529.92. Deputy Clerk and Executive Director, Legislative Services / Sous-greffier et directeur général des services parlementaires Trevor Day made $214,666.98, Executive Director, Administrative Services / Directrice générale, Services administratifs Nancy Marling made $210,973.37, and Premier / Premièr ministre Doug Ford round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $208,974.00 for the Legislative Assembly 2021 Sunshine List.
