Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2025

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Ontario Tech University was President and Vice-Chancellor Steven Murphy, who brought home $366,030.00 in 2024.

Following Steven Murphy was Provost and Vice-President, Academic Lori Livingston, with annual earnings of $308,883.00. Professor Tarlochan Sidhu made $271,676.40, Dean Hossam Kishawy made $271,643.88, and Vice-President, Administration Brad Macisaac round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $265,887.81 for the Ontario Tech University 2025 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2024, 50 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 160 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 130 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 52 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 11 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 2 received over $300,000 at the Ontario Tech University.
