Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2000

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following DAVID BROWN was Vice Chair JOHN GELLER, with annual earnings of $467,222.46. Executive Director CHARLES MACFARLANE made $355,368.49, Vice Chair HOWARD WETSTON made $317,038.90, and Director, Corporate Finance KATHRYN SODEN round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $175,353.69 for the Ontario Securities Commission 2000 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers
