Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2004

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Cancer Care Ontario was President & CEO ALAN HUDSON, who brought home $404,034.35 in 2003.

Following ALAN HUDSON was VP/ Chief Medical Officer WILLIAM EVANS, with annual earnings of $342,099.30. General Practitioner, Oncology MARVIN HALIKOWSKI made $275,019.61, Prov. VP, Corporate Services/ CFO CATHERINE DAVID NOLAN made $245,084.93, and General Practitioner, Oncology ANDREW KNIGHT round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $235,173.75 for the Cancer Care Ontario 2004 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2003, 15 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 78 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 30 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 9 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 1 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 2 received over $300,000 at the Cancer Care Ontario.
