Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2006

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following DAVID M. C. WALKER was Principal/Vice Chancellor KAREN R. HITCHCOCK, with annual earnings of $306,425.04. Vice Principal, Advancement GEORGE N. HOOD made $279,147.14, Dean/Professor, Business DAVID M. SAUNDERS made $236,520.50, and Professor, Business PETER S. SEPHTON round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $227,447.80 for the Queen's University 2006 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2005, 162 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 285 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 41 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 10 received between $200,001 and $250,000 , 1 received between $250,001 and $300,000 , and 3 received over $300,000 at the Queen's University.
